There is no denying the natural beauty of this pecan bowl. After all just take a look at the grain pattern and natural coloration. This beautiful bowl will earn it’s keep as it has a 9” diameter, 3 ¼” height, and a depth of 2 ½”. It holds a wonderful amount of ½ gallon measured to the brim. But that don’t mean you can’t pile the smashed spuds up higher! The wood was sealed with food grade walnut oil and then finished with a walnut oil/shellac mixture. Using this combination gives the bowl a nice hard long lasting natural finish. It has been said many times that most house holds in America don’t have room on the dining table for a large bowl. But most of them certainly have room for bowls of this size. One of a kind so don’t pass it up! 10Mar18 BLP184 For more info see:

I love the colouration of this bowl, which is a very nice light colour. Nice size and a good shape. I like the way you have done the base on this bowl, certainly adds to the bowls overall shape. Well done Dave.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Les! The color that is coming off this batch of pecan is really nice. I am quite pleased with it. Sure does make my work a lot easier. I just have to do the shaping and such and there it is in all it's splendor! Take care, my friend!
