Some might wonder what I mean by
simple lined in referring to a bowl.
Well, to me this means that there are no fancy embellishments on the
outside or the inside of the bowl. Just
simple flowing lines that in turn make the bowl beautiful and elegant. This bowl turned from pecan wood is one of
those bowls. It has a really nice
capacity as it holds ½ gallon measured to the brim. You may use the bowl with confidence as the
wood was sealed with food grade walnut oil and then finished with a walnut
oil/shellac mix with a little bit of walnut oil based wax mixed in. This gives the bowl a nice hard long lasting
natural finish. The bowl is 11” in
diameter, 2 ½” high and has a nice depth of just a tad under 2”. Go ahead and load this bowl up with your
favorite salads, veggies or even popcorn.
It will look good sitting wherever you put it, believe me. 12Aug18

A very nice looking and well turned bowl. The colouration is a lovely, two toned brown with a good grain pattern. Is that a reddish pink colour in the bowl. The shape is very nice. A well turned bowl, I like it.
ReplyDeleteHi Les! Yeah, that pink you mentioned is natural with pecan. Not all of it has it but most of it does in the lighter colored wood. Glad you liked it.
