White Oak gives off a nice warm and
fuzzy feeling when you look at it. Look
at the natural colors, the grain pattern, the shallow cracking that is typical
of this wood and I think you will agree.
This bowl is just right in size for nuts, candies, and other tasty
treats you might wish. Also it’s a good
size as a catch all bowl. Whatever it is
that you use it for, this bowl will look good doing it. The diameter is 6 ¼” with a height of 3 ¾”,
and a depth of 3 ¼”. The volume measured
at 3 cups. The wood was sealed with food
grade walnut oil and then finished with a walnut oil/shellac mixture. This combination gives the bowl a nice hard
long lasting natural finish. Grab it
while it is available. 1Apr19 BLWO19

I really like the simple shape and clean lines of this Oak bowl. Nature`s colours and grain pattern are superb. Nicely turned and finished as you would expect from an excellent woodturner. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Les! Happy you liked it. I'm getting more and more liking this wood.
