This beautiful box turned from pecan
wood is truly meant for those who love turquoise. The rim of the vessel has a nice sized ring
of it. I haven’t done anything with
turquoise lately and this box seemed to be just right for it. Great size to use as a salt or spice
box. You might even put small personal
treasures in it or your own stash of tasty pistachios. The wood was sealed with food grade walnut
oil and then finished with a mixture of walnut oil and shellac. The diameter is 3 ½” with a total height of
4”. The vessel height is 2 ½” and the
depth is 2”. The volume is approximately
1 cup. Grab this while the grabbin’ is
good! 2Apr19 BXP99

This lidded Pecan box as a very nice simple shape with a lovely shaped lid which goes nicely with its base. The colour and grain pattern are very nice. I am pleased you did not add any turquoise to the outside of the box because I think if you had it would ruin a beautiful box. But as you have added it to the top inside rim of the base, I think it shows off the box really well. Another excellent turned box, well done Dave my friend.
ReplyDeleteHowdy, Les! Thanks for the comments. Who'd thunk it? This box sold in about 2 hours. Maybe turquoise is catching on again???
