This jar is
definitely uniquely shaped. Straight
sides with a nice flare at the base.
What could be better? Straight
sides on the inside, that’s what. And
you have it here with a flat bottom.
Please don’t ask for more on this one because I don’t have a clue as to
what else to add. OK? All wood was sealed with a food grade walnut
oil, taking 2 coats. Then after sanding
it all again it the jar was finished with a walnut oil and shellac
mixture. Using a combination like this
gives the jar a nice hard long lasting natural finish. The base diameter is 7” with the lip diameter
being at 6”. The total height is 5” with
the vessel height being 3 ¼”. The vessel
depth is 2 ¼” and the volume came to 4 cups.
Load this jar up with nuts or candies.
I am sure there are all kinds of tasty treats you might come up
with. Or, use it as a jar to hold all
kinds of treasures like jewelry.

Luscious 8 1/4" Layered Wood Bowl
Luscious? Oh, yeah!
No doubt about it. You might even
go as far as to say WOW! This multi-wood
bowl is going to be a bowl that someone out there is looking for. The center layer is bodark (osage orange),
then white oak, pecan, cedar elm, and then more pecan on the outside. The layers after being bonded to each other
by wood glue stayed clamped together for 3 days. This insures a good bond and that it doesn’t
come apart while turning or while in use.
The wood was sealed with food grade walnut oil and then finished with a
walnut oil/shellac mixture. This
combination gives the bowl a nice hard long lasting natural finish. The bowl measures 8 ¼” in diameter, 3” high
and 2 ¼” deep. The volume measured at 5
cups to the brim. Certainly one of a
kind so don’t wait too long. 4Aug19 BLLW3
