We all see bowls of one kind or
another everyday, I think. A lot of them
are from manmade materials and are simply put, just bowls. But, now and then we see one that is rather remarkable. This bowl turned from cottonwood falls into
that category. Not overly large in
diameter (10 ¼”), it is still of a decent capacity of holding ¾ gallon measured
to the brim. With a height of 4 ¾” and a
depth of 3 ¼”, all combined make this bowl remarkable. Lest we forget the gorgeous natural colors of
this wood. The light and dark colors
really make it stand out. Whether you
use it as a serving bowl or a display bowl for nuts and fruits, you will be
proud to have this bowl sitting on your table.
Friends and family are gonna comment about it as well. The wood was sealed with two coats of food
grade walnut oil. The finishing was done
with a mixture of walnut oil and shellac.
Then the bowl was buffed with super fine steel wool. Get this for yourself or even for a good
friend or family member. 21Nov18 BLCW98

A very very nice bowl with a lovely grain structure. Dark and light colouration is really beautiful and the bowl has a very nice shape. Overall another winner, well done Dave.
